Claw Money is New York City’s first lady of graffiti. One of the few women in a male-dominated scene, Claudia "Claw Money" Gold has been tagging the streets of New York for over three decades. She is best known for her ubiquitous three-taloned CLAW paw. Running with the TC5 and FC crews, Claw was one of the few women in a male-dominated graffiti scene. “If you had a chick in your crew she could go up against another chick but I wasn’t into that,” she once said. “I say fuck that, I’m going up against the dudes.” Her work has been featured on view in major exhibitions like Beyond the Streets and has seen her collaborate with brands like Nike and NASCAR. We love how the Claw often contains fun and interesting messages and back in the day when their was beefs we would see Claw go all out!!
