ABOUT US
Sticker Museum is a global, art-driven platform created as the museum component for STICKER ART which we launched in 2010 as a visual database and archive for the best of adhesive art. We celebrate this art form and energy behind the street movement. Our curated collection of stickers took a long time to put together and for the first time, a select few have been made available for purchase. One of the best things about stickers are how easy they are to share – in fact I believe they are made for it. We never intended to sell any of our stickers – so we include lots of extras, as we now truly rely on your support on a very personal level. In the meantime, take a look here within an artists adhesive arsenal as we showcase and summarize the best of both contemporary and pioneer sticker artists, with a particular focus on graffiti and street art. Known for a dedication to the medium and a massive collection that we’ve built up over time, our aim is to push the very idea of art done in this medium beyond its preconceived boundaries. A museum for stickers? YES!
WHY STICKERS?
This is a project that is very personal to me, with a lot of years in the making. Sticker Museum is inspired by a life spent in the streets, in places all over the world, and with people like you – from Manhattan's historic East Village, to the bustling streets of Rome – and back. The streets are the best destination for urban contemporary art, where stickers as a medium and graffiti in general have exploded in popularity. Since not everyone is able to travel and see the best of the best, we started collecting from the artists we’ve met and continue to be inspired by. The result is what you see here.
