Uter is a New Orleans based graffiti artist who began writing in 2008, eventually forming the Charles Crew with Dvote, a unique art collective made of members with the first name Charles. Uter aka Charles Utero the 3rd has a very unique, colorful style with obvious influences from writers like Augor, Ewok and Craola, all of which paint in a way that feels fluid or flows naturally, almost organic. Uter’s work varies in style and subject, from cartoony illustrations to highly detailed and technically rendered objects like trucks and airplanes. It only takes a few minutes of observing his work to recognize the huge artistic talent and spray can ability that Uter possesses within his work.
