Miguel Camacho aka Vamp (RIP) was a Forest Hills, New York based graffiti writer who wrote for well known crews such as WRB and KRT. In 2005, he was arrested for tagging a pizza parlor because he was “upset with the quality of food there” and hit up tags at a Chinese restaurant because he was “upset with the prices they charged him,” he told police. When shown over 100 photos as evidence of his crime, he asked them for copies, which the cops “respectfully declined.” It’s stories like these, and the large volume of work he left behind, that means he will long be remembered by many as a true Queens graffiti legend.
